Hearts Afire is very excited to announce that that we have chosen to partner with Answer Africa, another non-profit organization, in serving the wonderful people of Kenya. Craig Hacche, Answer Africa’s Co-Founder, is working alongside Hearts Afire on the Milimani Mission Hospital and other projects in honor and remembrance of Dr. Makena Marangu, Craig’s late wife.
On August 7, 2018, we officially broke ground together on this prodigious project, The Makena Marangu Memorial Maternity Center, which was opened in September of 2022. We are believing for many generations of future leaders to be born here, and that ever person who enters will be blessed by the Lord as they begin life in one of the most purpose-filled places in Western Kenya!
The Makena Marangu Memorial Maternity Center provides state-of-the-art care and facilities not only to the families living in the areas surrounding The Hearts Afire Mountain Hospital, but to an area of approximately 10 million people. Nothing less than excellence is used to spread God’s love and provision to the needy people of Eldoret, Kenya. The impact this maternity center has will go on for generation after generation in a ripple effect that will spread all across Kenya. We thank the Lord for the partnership, and more importantly, the friendship we have found with Craig and Answer Africa. This is only the beginning of all the wonderful things God is doing through us all, and YOU are a deeply valued part of it all!
